Ingredients:

3 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1/2 cup granulated sugar
2 teaspoons active dry yeast
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
1 cup milk
2 large eggs
Oil, for frying

Instructions:

*In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, sugar, yeast, salt, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
*In a separate bowl, whisk together the melted butter, milk, and eggs until smooth.
*Add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients and mix until a dough forms.
*Knead the dough on a floured surface for 5-10 minutes until it becomes smooth and elastic.
*Place the dough in a lightly oiled bowl and cover with a clean towel. Let it rise in a warm place for 1 hour or until it doubles in size.
*After the dough has risen, punch it down and roll it out on a floured surface to 1/2 inch thickness.
*Cut the dough into donut shapes using a donut cutter or two different-sized round cookie cutters.
*Place the donuts on a lightly floured surface, cover with a clean towel, and let them rise for an additional 30 minutes.
*Heat oil in a deep fryer or a large pot to 375°F (190°C).
*Carefully add the donuts to the hot oil, a few at a time, and fry for 1-2 minutes on each side until golden brown.
*Use a slotted spoon to remove the donuts from the oil and place them on a paper towel to drain excess oil.
**Repeat with the remaining donuts.
Once the donuts have cooled, you can dip them in glaze or coat them with cinnamon sugar, or any other toppings you like.
*Serve and enjoy your freshly made donuts!

Note: You can use a thermometer to measure the temperature of the oil. Make sure the temperature is consistent throughout the frying process to achieve the best results.
